The Wolf's Howl
Welcome to the pack! Do you know why wolves howl? A howl is a vocalization meant to communicate with pack members. They howl to communicate location, territory, and most importantly, affection and camaraderie.
The magazine name is also a literary nod to the famous/infamous Allen Ginsberg poem Howl and the precedent-setting court case in American censorship, The People of the State of California vs. Lawrence Ferlinghetti (1957), which unsuccessfully attempted to ban the publication.
The Wolf’s Howl publishes information and projects from the students, faculty, staff, and alumni of Alvernia's Communication and Digital Media Department. Our content ranges from light-hearted to intellectual.
